What is the AMSEC CSC Safe Made Out Of?
Both the CSC1913 and the CSC1413 are built with thick steel, bulking up the body with a 2.75” thickness. We pour a high-strength cement-based fire-resistant material in the body, which is one of the reasons both of these models have received a 2-hour factory fire rating at 1200°F.
The safe door is built with all the same materials the body is made out of, with a few more features that prevent burglars from prying, drilling, or attempting any other attacks to try and access your cherished belongings. This includes the following:
- Tamper-resistant glass relocker
- Heavy-duty 1.5” diameter steel dead bolts that are built to withstand pry attacks
- 2” thick defense barrier of outer and inner steel plates
- UL-Listed ESL10 electronic lock (mechanical lock options are also available)
In addition to these hefty security features, the CSC safes come with a heat-expanding intumescent door seal to help guard against severe fires. How this works is when the door is exposed to high heat, the seal will expand to help prevent smoke or flames from penetrating the interior.
AMSEC CSC Burglary Protection
Both CSC safe models come with a UL RSC Level I security rating. This means the models have been tried and tested against common and electronic tools used to either tamper with the locking mechanism or create a 4” diameter hole (or larger) in the body to access the interior. Tools can include:
- Hammers (that do not exceed 3 pounds)

- Screwdrivers
- Wrenches (that do not exceed 18″ in length)
- Variable Speed Electric Drill
